It's a cause for celebration when a thriller writer passes such an incredible milestone.
When I first released Impeding Justice there were days when John Locke's book 'Lethal Experiment' and mine used to leap-frog each other in the thriller chart. It was the first book I looked at every morning when I checked the rankings in the chart, if I managed to get ahead of John I knew that I'd had a good day. ;-)
I can only dream of having the success he's had, to sell over a million copies of his books in only five months is an incredible achievement.
Long may it continue for you John, a wonderful writer who deserves much success.
John you're an inspiration to every kindle thriller writer.

Happy Father's Day!
Despite my own father walking out on me when I was three, it's days like today I miss my grandfather so much.
He was there... when we travelled on the overnight coach to see our favourite football team.
He was there... to tell me frightening ghost stories!
He was there... to take me on outings to Dartmoor every Sunday, as a treat when I was growing up.
He was there... to walk me down the aisle on my wedding day. He left his sick-bed and returned to it straight after the service, too ill to even contemplate hanging around for the reception, but he was there.
He was there... always pulling faces at me to make me laugh when times were tough.
He was there...
But sadly no longer. When he passed away my heart ached for over a week. I know that I'll never experience a love like that again.
I miss you Bertie Harris, but I know you're still by my side, guiding me through life's ups and downs.

Another fab review for Impeding Justice
Nick's review

Jun 09, 11
Read from May 14 to June 09, 2011 — I own a copy
BCID: (generate) I really enjoyed the book I found that the words floed off the page and kept me hooked to find out what was going to happen next. I felt that the style of the story and the plot are as good as James Patterson’s Alex Cross series, which are a great series to read. So is Lorne Simpkins going to be the English version to Alex Cross? Let’s hope so.
I have the next book Final Justice on my kindle waiting for me to start reading.
I would like to say a big! Thank you to Mel Comely for writing a gripping story and I can not wait to start the next book. I hope my review has given the book the justice it deserves.

BCID: (generate) I find this story just a gripping as Impeding Justice. As I said in my review on Impeding Justice this series is as good as the Alex Cross series that James Patterson writes. Nevertheless, the only thing different is that I think Lorne Simpkins is better looking than Alex Cross.
I am looking forward to read the next book in the series, so Mel keep the quill going!

Another great month.
Well May didn't disappoint sales wise. Over 5,300 books sold this month. That makes a grand total of over 20,000 sold since my books were released as ebooks.
This month I've decided to test the market by upping the price to $2.99/£1.71, I know both books will sink in the UK as it's a price sensitive market. Hopefully, I'll attract a different audience in the US and the rest of the world.
I think the price for all Indie books should be $2.99 across the board, that way the writers would benefilt from 70% for all their efforts.
Okay, well I tried it for a few days I did sell a quite few books and will probably make more money this week than I make at the 99cents mark, but my books have sunk in the charts. So it's back to 99 cents for me. ;-)
Don't forget to keep an eye on the Indie authors I'll be featuring each week, either through interviews or sample chapters of their work on #samplesundays.
Please support Indie writers, you know it makes sense. ;-0
