This is great news to inspire all of us Indie writers. The agents and publishers are still willing to take a chance on an unknown! (I jest of course).
There's hope for us all.

Final Justice This book had everything to make it a good read!
It is the second Lorne Simpkins book, by Mel Comley.. Former Detective Inspector Lorne Simpkins had a breakdown and quit the police force, she was trying to get her life back together and cope with what had happened the year before to her daughter at the hands of her nemesis she had also lost a lover and best friend too Then out of the blue a friend from MI6 called and said he knows where her long time nemesis is she has no choice but to join him in the search to find Baldwin,he is one scary guy and one of the baddest characters I've ever read!
Thank you so much, you've made my day.

A five star review for Final Justice.
even better than book 1!, 17 Mar 2011
This review is from: Final Justice (A Lorne Simpkins thriller) (Kindle Edition)
Final Justice is the sequel to the excellent Impeding Justice where we first meet DI Lorne Simpkins who is attempting to apprehend the killer called the unicorn. With the end of Impeding Justice it was obvious that there would be a sequel, and what a sequel it is! In my view, this book is better than the first book in the series for a number of reasons. Most importantly, Mel¡¦s writing seems to have slowed down somewhat since book one, she¡¦s trying to cram less in and the overall book benefits from that. The fact that there is slightly less edge-of-your seat action in this book means that the violence, when it does come, is somehow all the more shocking. I felt that Mel flushed out her characters a lot more in this book and I really began to care for Lorne by the end of the book. All in all, a great second book from a superb new author. ยบ
Brings joy to one's heart.

The sun is shining and everything is good.
Wow, the sun shone brightly for the first time in ages today in France. It's days like these that we should feel happy to be alive.
Completed another few chapters editing of Cruel Intent this morning. It's going really well so far. Just about to go offline and tap away on the laptop for another couple of hours before turning in.
Hopefully should be ready to upload late April/early May fingers crossed. Have a couple of beta readers casting their eyes over it now.
Oh well, best get on, have a great day.

Downloaded this after crime writer Sam Millar's recommendations. This is a fast-paced thriller written with tight, detail to attention. Detective Inspector Lorne Simpkins is an excellent creation. If you are going on journey, this is the perfect companion for your Kindle. It's what Kindle was made for.

Another five star review,.
5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting, action-packed detective story., 4 Mar 2011
This review is from: Impeding Justice (A Lorne Simpkins thriller) (Kindle Edition)
A well conceived thriller with a real twist in the tail. That well thought-out ending leaves scope for a follow-up, as has now come to pass. Cleverly done. A female cop has obvious appeal and the early stages of the book bring her to the fore very well. There's a fair dose of violence in the story, graphic violence on occasions, which may not suit all tastes, but it's never excessive or gratuitous. There's murder, kidnap, a plausible and deeply flawed villain - all the elements of a satisfying thriller.
Very enjoyable, will definitely be reading the next book in the series.

Final Justice is the perfect sequel to "Impending Justice". The plot is great and the story is full of exciting twists, turns and unexpected events. Each turn o the page brought something new. Great characters, great story, get thriller, great job. Mel Comley has definitely been added to my list of favorite authors.
